The Walruscast 21 – A Series Of Tubes

So, over 4 months since we updated the site. We’re sure it’s a shocker to our fan. Despite uploading in April, we did infact record this podcast in February. Go team us!

In this episode:

  • We talk about Skyrim, our 2011 GOTY
  • We also talk about Star Wars: The Old Republic
  • A little about Terraria
  • Not much else

This week we will be playing: Well, nothing. We didn’t discuss it. Let’s call this ‘free study’ and let you decide for yourselves.

Nobody loves you like us

To prove just how much we love you, and to celebrate the release of episode twenty of the Walruscast, we are going to continue our erratic update schedule. No, really, we insist.

Due to conflicting holiday plans and such, there won’t be any new recordings until after Christmas. In the meantime, you’ll have to find somewhere else for your insightless ramblings on Skyrim, The Old Republic and directional thumbs. Actually, alternate sources for one of those might be quite difficult.

  • Mark hijacks another introduction

This week we will be playing: Who are we kidding? We won’t stick to anything

The Walruscast 19 – Money Underload

Money’s a bit tight these days, isn’t it? Even the necessities can be hard to afford these days, I mean, in this climate, how can a man be expected to keep up the payments for three copies of Skyrim, every Rock Band song, a full compliment of Gargoyle stools and all of fog forever?

Oh, and turns out that this episode is an entire month late. With us posting no warning beforehand. We are so on the ball. On the bright side, we now have an audio set up worth its’ weight in anything.

In this episode:

  • We have a new mic
  • We still have the old Myke
  • We almost talk about our month-and-a-half long assignment: Shadow Era
  • Hot-or-Not: Star Edition
  • There was a new Humble Bundle, it has now ended
  • Rock Band 2 / Beatles, proving just how timely we aren’t
  • How drums are the most difficult things ever
  • Spiderman: Arkham City
  • Lego Universe, which is closing its’ doors
  • Gears of War: oops the world wasn’t actually saved yet again
  • Terraria
  • Shadow Complex

For the next fortnight we will be playing: DC Universe Online

The Walruscast 18 – Particles, Space, Jello

The three fundamental areas of physics, the three biggest conundrums, each pondered by our greatest minds. Well, sort of, I mean, space is pretty far away, and you know what they say – out of sight, out of mind – so it tends to get forgotten. And particles? Honestly? They just get included to make up the numbers, let’s face it, particles just hang out. Jello dynamics is where the real science is getting done. As we speak, scientists worldwide are looking to design Jello-based bags of holding.

Oh, and on a totally related note, no one did anything for two weeks.

In this episode:

  • The origin of Balai
  • Deus Ex
  • Ecco the Dolphin
  • Hit DVD Gunmen Gone Wild
  • Alpha Protocol
  • Some life lessons
  • Dead 4 Lest Rising Island 2
  • Physics
  • Space Siege
  • Boilers

We’re probably still playing a thing, who knows.

The Walruscast 17 – Organic Prisoners

We here at Thug City pride ourselves on our organic, free range prisoners. Other prisoner suppliers cage their stock in harsh, limiting enviroments, but at Thug City each of our in-mates – from the petty thieves to the serial killers – have had a life full of exercise, adventure and street math. Know that when you buy Thug City, you can buy with confidence.

In this Episode:

  • Andy didn’t attend the Eurogamer Expo, he is in the minority
  • Skyrim is discussed as if it was a Bioware game
  • Counter Strike: Global Offensive
  • RAGE
  • Batman: Arkham City
  • Catwoman: Arkham City
  • Batman: Regular City
  • Zelda: Skyward Sword
  • Lord of the Rings Online
  • We will not be recording for another two weeks

For the next two weeks we will be playing: Shadow Era

Pluggin’ Away

Ever wanted to find out how infrequently Andy shaves? Now you can know! Watch him make a game and a fool of himself (but not shave) either on youtube or the uninspiring website for said project. You could also hit him up on Twitter, that is unless you’re scared.

Bonuscast 01

We recorded a thing today, but were delayed and fed up due to technical issues. It was a bit like this but longer and shittier.

The Walruscast 16 – Michael Jackson Doesn’t Think Anymore

Michael Jackson isn’t the only one either, scientists suspect that John Lenon, Elvis and The Radio Star may no longer be thinking. Some members of the scientific community worry that this epidemic may even be affecting those outside of the world of music; Queen Elizabeth I, Bruce Lee and Facebook users are all being closely monitored for signs of poobrain.

In this Episode:

  • No one played anything, ever
  • Black & White
  • Burnout: Paradise
  • Deus Ex: Human Revolution
  • Inotia 3
  • Neptune’s Pride

For the next two weeks we will be playing: “Rock Band

We’ll be playing on the Silverlode server, send a friend request to Lamdor

The Walruscast 15 – Basted Elephant Testicles

It’s a good idea to mix up how you have your elephant testicles, after all variety is the spice of… no, Sorry, no, I refuse to do this. You’ll have to get your titillations elsewhere this week.

In this episode:

  • We’ve been perusing Jedi Robes and Batmobiles online
  • Deus Ex: Human Revolution, for which the only complaint we have Penny Arcade once again beat us to
  • Superman Returns… with cats… the game
  • Fable 3, enadangered dogs, marriage & Molyneux
